Riya Sen’s killer looks…

Riya Sen

Riya Sen

Guess who is back in the party circuit– it’s none other than the Bengali bombshell Riya Sen and she’s looking killer and raring to go

Riya is back from a short vacation from Bangkok with her family and is looking stunning than ever. Generally people gain weight when they go for their vacation but this actress has maintained her svelte figure and surprisingly has lost oodles of weight

In fact, Riya was cynosure of all eyes recently at Subhash Ghai’s party. Though she made a late entry because of her shoot, she looked ravishing and turned the heads of one and all present

She even received a galore of compliments from various people including director duo Abbas-Mastan and Comedy King David Dhawan.

With her recent weight loss and the all new look she was without doubt the centre of attraction

Looks like Riya is one lady who knows how to have a ‘healthy’ vacation

Amit turns negative in Pavitra Rishta?

November 3rd, 2009 by V

Amit Sareen who essays the role of Sagar, boss of Varsha in the show is showing its colour as he turns negative. But is this for real or to fool the audience? Thus we thought of calling him and asking about the same.

“Well for now definitely for audience it is portrayed as a negative role but no one can predict of what happens in the daily. All I would like to say is that just wait for few more days and you will come to know about it,” says Amit.

When probed more, the actor quips, “Change in the character was decided now as Ekta wanted to test of how the audience will react with this modification. Sagar had two ways to go ahead from which one was decided.”

“Firstly creative thought of showing Sagar’s wife becoming handicap and thus he search out for love outside. The second thought was that he has been married to a rich woman but there is no love. However Sagar finds love with Varsha but at the same time he cannot leave his wife too. This track did make sense thus the creative went ahead with it,” he explains.

When asked about how the character will take shape in future, he replied, “You have to wait and watch of whether Sagar is negative or he has a valid reason. What is the motive behind his and Varsha’s relation is something that will definitely increase the curiosity of the janta. I my self don’t know what will happen next.”

This is definitely increasing the interest as of what will happen further. Whether the love of Sagar for Varsha is true or not? Let’s wait and watch for the same in the coming episodes.

Karan Johar is aghast over the reactions of the Indian politicians

December 2nd, 2008 by pandu

karan joharFilmmaker Karan Johar is aghast over the “soulless and emotionless” reactions of the Indian politicians over the audacious Mumbai terror attacks that killed 183 people.

“The NSG (National Security Guard) should be applauded. The media should be praised. Certain politicians should be bashed,” Karan posted on his blog.

“Politicians, soulless and emotionless, were addressing the country while reading off of tele-prompters. Can you not feel anything? Can you say nothing to make us feel just a little more secure in your hands?” he wrote.

“Poorly conducted ‘press conferences’ announcing the death and casualty toll for foreigners with the speaker unable to successfully read a list from a sheet of paper, confusing Austria for Australia and generally making us look like illiterate idiots to a global audience. It left me embarrassed and struggling to find pride in our government,” he added.

Like many others across the nation, Karan said he was glued to the TV screen since late on Wednesday night when security personnel battled the terrorists in the city for 62 hours.

Karan Johar, who has made films like “Kuch` Kuch Hota Hai”, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham” was in New York when the news about the terror attack broke out. The news was “shattering” for him as he was born and raised in city itself.

He looks back at how as part of a regular routine he visited the Tiffin restaurant in the city’s Oberoi Trident Hotel, one of the two high-profile landmarks that was under attack by terrorists.

“We now feel unsafe in our cars with tinted windows and our buildings with multiple watchmen. We now feel what a section of the city’s lower-middle class felt on July 11, 2006, when their security was threatened,” Johar said.

“Affluent members of society now prance around panels claiming Mumbai is no longer safe. This city isn’t safe now, nor was it safe two years ago,” he grimaced.
