Update: Jodi #11 Shaleen Bhanot and Daljit Kaur won the coveted Nach Baliye 4 title!!

After 13 grueling weeks of non-stop dance, Star Plus’ Nach Baliye 4 produced by Wizcraft came to an end with the face-off between the Finalists Naman Shaw-Megha Gupta and Shaleen Bhanot-Daljit Kaur tonight on February 1st. And when the ultimate moment came, Jodi #11 and favorites Shaleen Bhanot and Daljit Kaur were declared worthy winners of Nach Baliye 4.

The Finale was graced by the Badshah of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan and Lara Dutta.!! The duo won a cash prize of 50 lakhs and a swanky Maruti Estello which was presented to them by SRK and Lara.

The night was Dhamakedaar with fabulous performances by the contestants of this season as well as previous seasons. Winners of previous seasons Hussein-Tina and Aamir-Sanjeeda performed with full vigor while Rakhi Sawant sans Abhishek Awasthi proved to be the perfect ‘Helen’ of today!!

The cute and adorable jodis of the earlier seasons – Krushna-Kashmera, Tanaz-Bakhtiyaar, Varun-Rajeshwari, Alex-Shweta and Yash-Gauri Tonkk combined well to groove on stage. Karisma Kapoor gave a fitting tribute to the Divas of yester years, Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit while Arjun Rampal rocked on stage like never before. Farah Khan, the Teacher of the class grooved with her chelas, Abhijeet Sawant, Amit Gupta, Mohit Mallik, Jaspal Bhatti and Kapil Nirmal.

Few interesting awards were given away wherein the aptly titled Rakhi Sawant Walkout Award went to the Judges of Nach Baliye 4 for their great walkout when they got pissed off with the contestants. The Sarvottam Hindi Award went to Kapil Nirmal while Arjun Rampal walked away with the Great Laughter Champion Award. Sudeep Sahir won the Award for the Best Role Reversal while Karisma Kapoor won the Cut-Cut Queen Award.

Indian television’s Ugly Betty Mona Singh, who is set to make her big screen debut with Aamir Khan-starrer Three Idiots, says she is excited but also nervous about working with the superstar.

“Aamir is so good. It’s not even funny. He makes me so nervous. In fact, the thought of working with any of the big stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir and Shah Rukh Khan makes me very nervous. But for now, I am excited,” said Mona.

In Three Idiots, which is based on Chetan Bhagat’s best-selling novel Five Point Someone and is being directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Mona plays Kareena Kapoor’s sister.

“I play a very bubbly character in the film and my look is very different from what I look right now. My role is really good and I have a major part in the climax of the film,” said Mona.

She became extremely popular when she essayed the role of ugly duckling Jassi in Sony TV’s Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin. Her true identity was kept under wraps in the initial months of the show. Mona managed to win the viewers’ heart as Jassi.

Now she is back to being in disguise on a new reality TV show Arre Deewano Mujhe Pehchano. She would be competing with celebrity contestants Rakhi Sawant, Shweta Keswani, Mahesh Manjrekar, Yash Tonk, Gulshan Grover, Divya Dutta and Mandira Bedi to win the title of Master of Disguise.

Commenting upon the format of the show, she said: “The show is all about stand-up comedy actually. It’s about how well we can conceal our identity and find a scapegoat on the streets. It’s quite a challenge for all of us and a very refreshing show.”

Winner of two dance reality shows – Jhalak Dikhla Jaa and Ek Khiladi EK Haseena, Mona is quite confident of her success on the show.

She said: “I think I will be good. I had successfully remained in disguise for Jassi… so I might perform better than others. But my voice is a big giveaway. When I speak in Hindi, it has a very strong Punjabi accent so I have to work hard on it.”

Right now Mona is seen in NDTV Imagine’s hit soap Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi. “I found the character interesting, so I took it up. Also, Radhaa is a very simple and sweet show and I used to watch it regularly,” she said.

For now, Mona is concentrating on Arre Deewano Mujhe Pehchano and Three Idiots and says some “interesting offers” are coming her way.

Rockstar-actor-director Farhan Akhtar, who made his debut as a talk show host with ‘Oye! It’s Friday’ is all set to spread the ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ magic with his celebrity guest, Aamir Khan .

After breaking-the-ice with Hritihik Roshan on the first episode of the show, Farhan who had earlier directed Aamir in his much-lauded venture ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ shared some enthralling dialogues with the ‘perfectionist’ Khan of Bollywood.

Apparently, the two spoke at length about Aamir’s relationship with his co-stars and peers, his favorite pastime, his passion for music and his many likes and dislikes. Farhan also made Aamir reveal the secret behind his ‘killer’ look in Ghajini and his penchant for pulling pranks on his friends and co-stars.

The super-sexy Tanushree Dutta and the very melodious Benny Dayal who has given us hits like ‘Tu Hi Meri Dost Hai’ and ‘Pappu Can’t Dance Saala’ will also be performing on the show.

Child prodigy Abhay Goel who is a pianist par excellence and a ‘Limca Record Book’ holder all at the tender age of 10 will hit the musical notes too.

He has got the reputation of being the bad boy from the reality show “Big Boss 2”.

Ever since he came out of the house, Raja Chaudhary has been creating a ruckus wherever he goes.

On Tuesday night he was caught by cops who bashed him up for driving his car while being drunk.

And to top it all, Raja was not ashamed to declare the same to the media at an NGO event held in Mumbai today (December 3).

Actress Sonali Bendre, who is currently seen on television as a judge on music reality show “Indian Idol”, says she won’t be returning to Bollywood any time soon as her son needs her more than the film industry.

“Nothing will make me come back to films. My three-year-old needs me more. I want to be home for my child. I’m definitely not looking at a commitment that will take me away from home,” said Sonali.

A source from the sets of “Indian Idol” said that Sonali is the first one to zip out of the studio to her little one as soon as shooting wraps up.

She can’t speak proper Hindi, but she sings Bollywood songs with ease. Asma Rafi, a contestant on music reality show “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009″, floors everyone with her humorous antics and powerful performances, but praise by Salman Khan has her thrilled to bits.

“People love Salman Khan, but he likes me. What more can I ask for? I used to see his films on TV, but when I saw him in front of me, appreciating my singing, my dream came true,” 17-year-old Asma told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

Asma is originally from Muscat, Oman, and met Salman and Katrina Kaif at a special episode of the talent show when both the actors appeared to promote their latest film “Yuvvraaj”.

She sang “Chunari Chunari” from Salman’s film “Biwi No.1″ and the actor thoroughly enjoyed it.

Asma’s mother tongue is Arabic, but she has dabbled in Hindi music to fulfil her father’s dream.

“My dad is a big fan of Hindi songs. So when he saw that I sing well, he asked me to take interest in Bollywood songs. He wants me to be a playback singer in Hindi films.

“Initially I was apprehensive because I didn’t know how to speak in Hindi. But my father has always supported me and been like a pillar of strength. He encouraged me so much that I participated in ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ competition in the Middle East and won it,” said Asma.

Asma has a nasal touch to her voice and says her Hindi diction is not very strong, making her a weak contestant compared to others.

“I am the weakest contestant on the show. My diction is my biggest disadvantage. I know that’s my weak point as compared to other participants and that is why I get nervous. But I’m working hard to overcome the problem. I hope to improve,” she said.

Asma was eliminated from the show earlier, but she was such a favourite among the audiences and judges that she re-entered the show as a wild card entry.

Asma has also gained popularity because of her joke about making a film called “Mere Oont Ko Danda Kyun Maara” that would star all the Bollywood actors.

However, she feels that the joke should now end as it has carried on for too long now.

“The channel wanted everyone to be associated with some kind of joke. So I thought I’ll start with this and people started enjoying it. But now I think we have done enough of it. But the channel still wants me to continue with it,” Asma said.

The vivacious girl, who is the only member from her family to enter a singing competition, was recently in the news following her parent’s separation.

“My mother was not in favour of me entering this competition; hence she broke all ties with me and my father,” said a dejected Asma.

“I don’t know why my mother is doing this. Sometimes when my dad calls, he tells me that my mother is filing a case on me. I feel terrible,” she added.
