Mohan Babu’s home production film Salim, starring his son Vishnu and Ileana, has him play a special role in the film. The film directed by YVS Chowdhary, is coming with the tagline Dummu reputhadu. It is anticipated that his role will be a powerful presence in the film as Salim is a film that is coming with a large pool of talented artistes – Napolean, Mukhesh Rishi, Tanikella Bharani, Giri Babu and others.

As the 50th film of Lakshmi Prasanna Productions, the makers are taking it very seriously.

Mohanbabu who is usually averse to be seen in insignificant cameos, has the legendary NTR’s role in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Raktha Charithra’, in his kitty.A love story, the film is releasing in the first or second week of December. YVS has pinned hopes on this one, as his last dud ‘Okka Mogadu’ has become a blemish in his filmi career.

Aarya 2 Review

AARYA 2 is a much hyped movie and is said to be a preceded by 2004 movie ‘AARYA’.
The movie is said to be a musical hit and especially the song ‘Ringa Ringa…’ is a highlight to the movie. The movies moves on an average pace and the screenplay and the brief storyline are excellently carved.

Aarya 2 Story

Allu Arjun and Navadeep are thick friends and from their childhood they compete in everything they face in life together. Navadeep always wants to be a step forward than Bunny (Allu Arjun) and is always competes with him in activities like studies, games, music, dance, and so on. But as expected Allu arjun wins finally and stays always a step forward than Navadeep.

Both the childhood friends get into a corporate company and the happening life is well displayed on screen. Incidentally, Kajal Agarwal enters the life of both the friends and the two falls in love with her in the first sight. Shraddha Arya also shares the screen space along with the heroine of course. There is a surprise character in a cameo role in this film

Navadeep expresses his love to his friend Bunny and asks him to help him out in the love matter. Allu Arjun sacrifices his love and with his funny and intellectual tricks helps Navadeep impress Kajal Agarwal.

Finally the big day arrives, and Allu Arjun finds that Kajal Agarwal is in love with him and not his friend Navadeep. Then the suspense element strikes the spine of the audiences. But in order to know that who will marry whom, please visit the theatres as soon as possible.

Kurradu Movie Review (2009)

Kurradu

Cast: Varun Sandesh, Neha Sharma and others.
Banner: Anandi Art Creations.
Cinematography: Sarvesh Murari.
Editing: Marthand K. Venkatesh.
Lyrics: Ananth Sriram.
Music: Atchu.
Producer: Kiran.
Direction: Sandeep Gunnam.
Release Date: November 12, 2009

Varun Sandesh is a jobless, happy-go-lucky, bike-crazy guy wasting his time with his friends. After a drunken party and a fight with his father, the latter gives him most of his savings to go do something with his life. Much to his parents chagrin he buys a bike, but they cool down once he gets a job as a recovery agent at a bank because of the bike. He even musters up courage to tell his bus-stop girl friend about his feelings and everything falls into place until his bike gets stolen. Then he is pulled into mafia dealings and gets into trouble with the goons, the police; his whole life falls into jeopardy while he fights for what’s right and what’s his.

The first scene itself starts out with promise-and violence, a trend that continues throughout the movie. The real action doesn’t start until his bike gets stolen and then we are taken back to the first scene (the rest of the first half and half of the second is the flashback). He gets into trouble with goons and police alike, and shows his fearlessness with both. Of course, apart from the heroism, there are ‘skinny’ jokes about the main lead, one of them with Ali (where he calls him ‘Bakka Raja‘) gets a few laughs. There are loads of fights, including the big, predictable climax fight with slow-motion movements.

MS Narayana comes in three scenes as a drunk for a little comic relief, and even Ali as a man escaping paying his loan is a decent track. Neha Sharma looks much better from her debut in Chirutha but her dubbed voice doesn’t suit her-anyway she doesn’t come in often.

Ek Niranjan Movie Review

What’s it about!

Chotu (Prabhas) is estranged from his parents at a very young age. He grows up to become a bounty hunter – by handing over criminals to the police and earning money from it. His continues search for finding his real parents (played by Tanikella and Sangeeta) but in vain. He happens to meet a guitar teacher Sameera (Kangana) and love ensues between them. On other hand, a local dada Johnny Bhai (Sonu Sood) hires a killer to shoot off a minister. What is the link between Chotu and Johnny Bhai and how Chotu tries to find his parents is told in rest of the film.

Analysis

If you have seen Puri Jagannadh’s films, you would know his style of presentation and how his heroes behave. By now, we can identify his brand of ‘narration’. Ek Niranjan is simply an excessive fest of clichés – from Puri’s past films. Puri Jagan tries to hold the audiences interest by super dialogues rather than the super script and narration. First half is racy but it suffers heavily in the second half with unnecessary comedy track and lack of driving points in the script. Sonu Sood’s character entirely drives the film. Also the film has resemblance to Chiranjeevi’s Kodama Simham (like Chiru trying to find the whereabouts of his parents; Sudi Gaali character here is played by Deshpande) and also has traces of Bujjigaadu’s plot line. In Bujjigaadu, Bujji’s sole aim is to find his childhood lover. In Ek Niranjan is goal is to search for his parents.

Script wise the movie is nothing but run-of-the mill fare. Only some lighter moments and good songs hold the film’s interest. On the whole it is just any okay movie.

Performances

Prabhas looks stylish and he exudes energy throughout the flick. He has done justice to the role. Kangana who makes her debut in Tollywood with this film does a very glamorous role and her unconventional looks might not go well with the Telugu audiences. But you cannot fault her performance. Sonu Sood steals the show as perverted villain. His characterization itself is novel and Sonu Sood’s performance provides enough laughter in the second half. Brahmaji does equally good with him. Comedy track by Brahmanandam, Ali and Abhinaya Sri is totally waste. Rest of the cast is okay.

Manisharma’s songs are good to hear but they are not that effective on screen. Shaam K Naidu’s cinematography looks richer. Editing by M.R.Verma is not upto standard. Puri Jaganandh once again scores as dialogue writer than director. But it is the time that he should re-check at his selection of scripts. After Pokiri, he has not come up with film that can make him proud or make audiences feel satisfied.

Bottom-line

Ek Niranjan is just an okay film. It can be time pass film.
