South Indian Super Star: The Name is Rajni, Rajinikanth
There’s no doubt about the fact that Rajinikanth is a living legend. The actor’s last release, Sivaji, was a global smash hit and the mere announcement of his next two projects, Kuselan and a sci-fi film Robot, has sent the entire media in frenzy.
But Rajini is not merely loved for his superstardom. People worship him for being his humility and philanthropy. No wonder then, he’s one of the few stars who have many books to their credit.
Dr Gayathri Srikanth, a medical doctor, has authored the latest book on Rajinikanth. Titled Rajini Pera Ketale, in Tamil, the doctor also plans to release an English version, The Name is Rajni.
The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Dr M Karunanidhi who is an admirer of Rajinikanth, has written the foreword for the book. Interestingly, the book also has a message to the superstar by his good friend and another great actor Kamal Hassan.
According to reports, the book release function will held on March 1, 2008 in Chennai. The buzz is that Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who is a good friend of Rajinikanth, will release it.
That is all simply rumors. Shivaji did not do well in box office as much as expected. Most theaters were empty after the first week. Simply these media are hyping a lot when it comes to Rajni kanth. His Chandramukhi ran only in the producer’s place for a long time and they have rumored that it was the biggest block buster and things like that. In reality Chandramukhi did lesser than Anniyan released the same year. In terms of mass in Tamil Nadu Ajith is the number one star.
