THE LATEST to challenge The Great Khali is none other than the country’s ’stone headed’ man - Dhananjay Shevale. Shevale, who is a constable at the Police Commissionerate in Nashik, Maharashtra, has thrown an open challenge to the internationally acclaimed strongman Dalip Rana also known as The Great Khali.
Shevale, wants the famous Khali to hit him 21 times on his head. He boasts that he can take any blow and that is the reason why he has challenged Khali. Further he added that he does respect and salute Khali as he has made India proud.
Shevale had earned the title of ’Stone Headed man of India’ by Krishnaji Gopal Srivastav, the world champion in 2000. His feat earned him accolades from all over the country and thus he made his way in the Limca Book of Records. In a television show - Shabash India - he broke 500 tiles with his head in just 14.42 minutes.
A website revealed that Dhananjay wanted to become an actor but was turned down by a film company saying that he did not possess any martial art skills. Dhananjay’s elder brother M P Shevale, promised the dejected younger brother that he would make him famous not only in the state but in the whole world. The motivation and the techniques of meditation and strengthening the will power were taught to him by his elder brother M P Shevale. Dhananjay considers his elder brother his guru, reported a website.
Dhananjay also urged 120 strongmen in the country to test their strength on his head. He wishes to see his name in the Guinness Book of World Records. He wants to bring glory and make the Maharashtra police proud of having the strongest man in the force.
