Akhilesh Das resigned from Congress Party

Akhilesh Das , Congress MP from Uttar Pradesh has submitted his resignation on Tuesday from Rajya Sabha saying he had “no faith” in the party. He also resigned from the primary membership of the Congress Party.
As soon as the House met for the day, Das walked up to Chairman Hamid Ansari with his resignation letter.
Akhilesh Das said, “I have no faith in the Congress part”. Ansari did not accept the letter & asked the member to go back to his seat as obituary references have to be made. Das then turned to the Secretary General & left the letter with him before walking out of the House.
