Krishna brought khukri to Talwar house: CBI

Noida, June 17: The CBI told a Ghaziabad court on Tuesday that Krishna, accused in the Noida double murder case, had made a confession before them. The agency claimed Krishna was asked to bring a khukri to Talwar house on May 14 by victim Hemraj. Hemraj, house help at Talwar’s, was also found dead a day after 14-year old Aarushi’s murder.

Krishna was produced at the Ghaziabad CBI court by the CBI for a custody extension. The court has sent Krishna on a 6-day CBI remand as opposed to the demand of 11 days. He will be reproduced before court on June 23.

CBI Joint Director, talking to media, claimed Krishna had made a confession before police but refused to divulge details. He said it was part of the routine.

CBI claimed to the court that Krishna who had been told to bring a khukri to the Talwar residence in the afternoon of May 14, reportedly brought it on May 15. A khukri was recovered by the CBI from near Talwar house, but it is not yet confirmed if it is the weapon of murder.

Krishna said in the court that he has not given any statement and he is being framed by the CBI. His lawyer told the court that his client is being made a scapegoat.

Meanwhile, while seeking extension CBI’s lawyer claimed that Krishna is lying and not cooperating in the investigation.

Earlier, CBI carried out five different tests on Krishna, including a narco analysis test, and found that there were several inconsistencies in his statements.

On Monday, CBI had claimed to have recovered a metal strip from a drain in Krishna’s presence and claimed it to be the weapon used in the murder.
