The music of Bala’s much-awaited Naan Kadavul (composed by veteran music composer Ilayaraja) was released today. The movie, which has been in the making for two years, is expected to release during Pongal.

The music was released by Producers’ Council President Ramanarayan and Swaminathan from Pyramid Saimira. The first copy was received by actors Suriya and Vikram. Celebrities present at the occasion included directors Balu Mahendra and Mani Ratnam, lyricist Vaali, lead actors Arya and Pooja, director Bala and the cast and crew of Naan Kadavul. The programme was hosted by Yogisethu. The whole audience was mesmerized by the trailer, which was also screened on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Mani Ratnam said he had come to the audio launch as he was a huge fan of Bala’s work. Suriya, who has worked with Bala in Nandha, said that Bala is responsible for giving him the most important movie of his career, adding that he considers the director his mentor, friend and guru.
