Followed by her spectacular show with ‘Arundhathi’ and ‘Billa’, Anushka Shetty has turned the spotlights on her. At present, the actress has almost completed shooting her portions for Vijay’s ‘Vettaikaran’ and Surya’s ‘Singam’. Recently, the actress had signed deal with Mahesh Babu’s untitled Telugu flick.

With her hands full with such offers, actress Anushka is keen about not repeating the similar kind of roles as in ‘Arundhathi’ or ‘Billa’. Well, about appearing in bikinis the actress has strongly mentioned that she wouldn’t take up such offers for some time. Says Anushka: ‘I don’t wanna get delineated with prototyped roles as Arundhathi or Billa. In Billa, I had to wear bikinis and skimpy costumes as I enacted the role of seductress. But my upcoming projects portray me completely different from my previous flicks.’

Although, she is shooting with Surya for ‘Singam’, Anushka cannot stop singing praises of Vijay, as she says, “Vettaikaran will be an unusual film for Vijay as he performs a different role from his previous films. As well, I have donned a challenging role in this film and Vijay has helped me a lot to carry out my performance with excellence. He’s a genuine professional and it’s been a great experience working with him…”

If insider news is to be believed sensational star Tamannaah Bhatia has rejected a film with Allu Arjun. Allu Arjun it is believed wanted to act with this cute actress in his latest film, but the lady has rejected the offer stating date problems.

Tamannaah is a busy actress today. Apart from Koncham Ishtanga Koncham Kashtanga with Sidharth, she has two more projects down south in Tamil films. The actress is busy for about a year with her current projects. She says despite liking some roles, she is forced to reject them due to her earlier commitments.

Tamannaah no doubt wants to do films with some big stars, and says Mahesh Babu stands first in that priority list. All said and done, the Allu Arjun and Tamannaah pairing stands cancelled. One could say acting with Tamannaah has become a desire for Allu Arjun.

Gunasekhar’s Movie with Allu Arjun

DVV Danayya has now announced a mega budgeted movie on his Universal Media banner. The movie will be directed by Gunasekhar with Allu Arjun playing the hero. It is being made on Universal Media banner. The movie was launched at director Gunasekhar’s office on 15th December.

Hero RamCharan Tej sounded the clap board, and director VV Vinayak switched on the camera for the First (Muhurtham) shot taken on the photos of deities after performing pooja. Director SS Rajamouli did the honorary direction.

On this occasion ‘Chatrapathi’ fame producer BVSN Prasad handed over the script to the director and producer of the film.

Gunasekhar earlier joined hands with Chiranjeevi for ‘Chudalani Vundi’, a super duper hit and with Mahesh Babu in ‘Okkadu’, a blockbuster too. Now, he’s going with Allu Arjun that has created hype among film goers for obvious reasons.

Briefing about the film director Gunasekhar said, “The movie is going to stand out evident from Allu Arjun’s earlier films. Taking a cue from the present craze amongst the youth for Allu Arjun, we are planning to make this film with a potentiality that only Arjun can justify. Further, this is planned on a wide range with high technical values.”

“Mani Sharma is composing the music, after a line of hits like ‘Chudalani Vundi’, ‘Okkadu’ and ‘Arjun’. He has undertook this proposal with a determination to come out with a top musical hit in his career. RD Rajasekhar of ‘Gharshana’ and ‘Ghajini’ fame is handling the photography. Ashok of ‘Okkadu’ fame is going to do the art direction. He is planning to prove his ability once again with this film which is coming with a disparate backdrop. Interestingly, 50 families from ordinary civilians are going to act in this movie. Hunt for a new heroine is on. Soon the details will be announced,” concluded the director.

Producer Danayya said, “My long cherished dream to make an extravagant project with Gunasekhar has started shaping up. Post ‘Desamuduru’, one of the block busters of Allu Arjun this is the second film on our banner with Allu Arjun, we are happy to bring in the duo together. The film will start in January and continue till February and March for a schedule of 10 days in the second half of every month. Then from April onwards the shooting will be completed in a lengthy schedule without a break.”

Lyrics are being penned by Veturi and editing is by Srikar Prasad. Stunt sequences are being framed by Peter Hayne.

While the much-discussed Nitin-Ileana starrer Local was being filmed, Ileana was hurt and shooting had to be suspended for a while. Directed by Parachuri Murali, Local is produced by G.V. Ramana under Spectra Media banner.

Reports of Ileana’s injury say that while shooting for the film at Nanakramguda on the previously constructed sets of Mahesh Babu’s Athadu, she missed a step and twisted her ankle. The sprain was sufficiently serious for the shooting to come to a complete halt. When doctors were called in to examine her, she was prescribed complete rest and is now laid up in her home at Goa.

Nitin, who needs a few big hits so that his market value goes up and he gains entry into the superstars’ club, is currently awaiting the release of Drona. He reveals that the movie, though sharing the title with the Abhishek Bachchan starrer, is nothing like the Hindi film.

Ghattamaneni Ramesh Babu was arrested and released yesterday in connection with Income Tax issues.

Just a few days ago Mahesh Babu’s house was raided by IT authorities and that is known for all. Namratha was asked to open all the boxes and almirahs in their house that day. Just a few days after that Ramesh Babu were arrested.

Later has come out on bail. Inside sources say that Ramesh Babu’s accounts are not clear and brought many doubts for IT people and hence the raid and arrest. He was arrested in the evening and released at night.

Prince Mahesh is soon becoming the darling of corporate film companies. After UTV now it is the turn of Warner Brothers to tie up with Mahesh Babu.

According to the buzz Warner Brothers are in talks with K Surya Prakasha Rao, son of K Raghavendra Rao to co produce a film.

This film is supposed to be made with Mahesh in the lead and the director is Rajamouli. The combination itself proves to be sensational to the core and if Warner Bros joins this project you can’t even imagine how the final result would be.

Warner Bros has already been making a film with Akshay Kumar in Hindi and their production Kamalhassan in Tamil will go to sets soon. The international company chose our Superstar to make its foray into Tollywood.

Mahesh Babu took a long break after his disappointing Atidhi is yet to announce his next film officially!

Earlier it was speculated that Trivikram might direct Mahesh’s next but the project will take time it seems. Fresh news is that Mahesh Okayed to do a film with VV Vinayak.

VVV who is riding high on the success of Krishna expressed his willingness to work with Mahesh in the past but didn’t get a chance. According to sources this film will be produced by Kodali Nani or Ramesh Babu. There is also a slight chance for joint venture too! We have to wait for the official announcement which is expected within a week.

Yester year’s superstar Krishna also proved to be a good director. He stayed away from direction for many years now. Krishna who won the Kalaprapurna puraskar recently says that he has plans to get back to direction again. Though he stopped doing the lead roles Krishna is still continuing his acting career by doing some special characters.

          He says that he is ready to act with grandson Gautam Krishna (Mahesh’s son) if he gets a good script. “I am planning to direct a film very soon and if the subject suits to the image of Mahesh I might do that film with him” said Krishna. He also said that he wants to see Mahesh in a James Bond role.

          If this film takes off it is needless to say that it will be a treat to Mahesh and Krishna fans.
