Mohan Babu, Vishnu, YVS Chowdary, Ileana, Kaveri Jha, Venkat, Lakshmi Prasanna, Giri Babu, Raghu Babu, Ram Prasad, Chintapally Ramana, BVS Ravi, Chandra Bose and Suchitra Chandra Bose attended from the crew. Music director Sandeep Chowta couldn’t make it due to incessant rains in Mumbai.

Vishnu performed on the stage for Kalti song of Saleem. Kaveri Jha performed to ‘Poolu Gusa Gusa’ (remix of an old Telugu song) on the stage. Mohan Babu and Raghubabu performed a comedy skit.

Dasari launched the audio and gave the first unit to K Raghavendra Rao.

My Review:

Story:

Aditya (Manoj Manchu) has a strange disorder. His memory keeps refreshing every night he sleeps, but he wakes up with a blank mind every day. Only two people (his uncle and his personal doctor) know about his problem. He falls in a situation where he is accused of a murder. The rest of the story is all about how he rescues himself.

Performances:

Manoj Manchu: To do a film like ‘Nenu Meeku Telusa?’ is a brave and risky decision for a guy like Manoj Manchu who has a supporting father and his own banner. Manoj Manchu comes up with a neat performance as a guy suffering from recurring amnesia. His comedy timing is superb and his dialogues gel well with the concept of the film. The risky jumps he has done during the 8 and half minute chase sequence are excellent. His imitation of Mohan Babu and Ravi Teja got tremendous applause.

Riya Sen did the role of current love interest of hero. She is pretty good. Sneha Ullal is nice as the college love of the hero. Nassar plays the role of hero’s uncle. Brahmanandam entertains as a fashion designer with the punch line ‘what the frock!’ Sunil is adequate. Surekha Vani’s ‘Sri Lakshmi Ganapati Films’ commentary is entertaining.

Technical Side:

The basic plot of the film is slightly inspired by a Hollywood film called ‘Clean Slate (1994)’. It is very thin story line and films of this type of story lines should have been told in duration of one and half hour. Since this movie is aimed for two and half hours of duration, the director had to insert some subplots and prolonged flashback which has very little relevance to the main story line. Screenplay of the film is adequate in the first half, but needs improvement in the second half. Direction of the film is good in parts. The director could able to narrate a serious plot in the first half by injecting humor through hero’s characterization. The following things are good in the film –

1. The way hero’s character is introduced and established.
2. 8 and half minutes exciting yet hilarious chase sequence in the first half.
3. Manoj imitating Mohan Babu.
4. The picturization of enno enno song
5. The Brahmanandam’s title rolling scene

The following things should have been taken care of:

1. Hero records his voice in an audio cassette and plays in a tape recorder. And if the tape is gspoiled, the entire exercise is futile. In this modern age, we have the facility of digital recording and computer. The audio tapes of hero are also stored in cassette format in doctor’s office. (Probably the director used it for the screenplay convenience.)
2. The chase sequence is superb. But it has nothing to do with the main story of the film.
3. The friend’s characters are introduced elaborately in the flashback format. But what do the friends have to do with story of the film? A song followed by a couple of scenes and confrontation would have been fine for the flashback episode.

Other Sides Of The Movie:

Music of the film is good. The songs that standout in the film are title song and enno enno. Cinematography of the film is nice. But the colors used are very unnatural. The entire flashback episode has bleaching effect which does not look good. The editing cuts are too sharp and they disturb your eyes. The chase sequence composed by Manoj and Tim Robbins is superb. CG work is nice. Production values are good.

Final Analysis:

First half of the film is decent. The tempo in the second half goes down. The climax of the film is alright. The plus points of the film are Manoj’s performance and story idea. The negative points are length of the film and unnatural colors. This kind of story should be narrated in 1 and half hours. In order to make this film a two and half hour runtime film, the director had to add more sub plots and extend the flashback. On whole, Nenu Meeku Telusa? is strictly a multiplex film and is meant for elite audiences who look out for the ‘out of the box’ films. The general crowd might not like it. But the team of NMT must be appreciated for breaking the shackles of doing routine and formulaic films in order to do a different film.

The news has seen light. Veronica, the daughter of YS Sudhakar Reddy, the brother of YSR, is getting married to Manchu Vishnu Vardhan Babu, the son of Mohan Babu.

The news was intentionally kept under wraps for quite a long time by Mohan Babu but it has come out from girl’s side a couple of days ago. Veronica studied in New York and eventually turned a fashion designer. She worked on the costumes of Vishnu for the film ‘Dhee’. Love sprouted between Veronica and Vishnu and the latter expressed the same to Mohan Babu who disagreed initially. It was Dasari Narayan Rao who convinced Mohan Babu in this aspect. The marriage is on cards now and it is slated in the month of February. But now pressures are hitting Mohan Babu from Anantapur.

It was well established that Mohan Babu was a close friend of Paritala Ravi, the Anantapur leader who was assassinated in 2005. There are allegations that Congress’ hand is involved in that assassination. Hence the sympathizers of Paritala Ravi are putting pressure on Mohan Babu not to go ahead with the alliance. But love is beyond politics and factionism. We have to see how these problems will be solved.

Hero Raja Sekhar talks with media aganist the political entry of Chiranjeevi yesterday. He said Chiru has no experience to start a party and he wouldn’t join with him at any case. After hearing this producer S.Gopal Reddy said Raja Sekhar doesn’t know how to talk in telugu and commented in this way on chiru.

It is known that hero Raja Sekhar has a tiff with Chiranjeevi ever since the movie ‘Tagore’ was started. It is said by Rajasekhar once that Chiranjeevi bypassed him by bagging the remake rights of Tamil movie ‘Ramana’ and making that as Tagore.

Whatever be the past, now the people have seen another hero speaking against Chiranjeevi after Mohan Babu.

Rajasekhar received minor injuries when his car was attacked allegedly by fans of Chiranjeevi who were angry over the former’s comments against the superstar.
The fans were angry over Rajasekhar remarks at Bhimavaram on Sunday that Chiranjeevi lacked political experience and that he would not join the political party if the superstar floats one. The fans demanded apology from Rajasekhar for his comments.

The attack took place at Panjagutta early this morning when Rajasekhar was returning home from Bhimavaram in West Godavari district.

Rajasekhar’s young daughter too received minor injuries in the incident. Rajasekhar later took treatment at a super speciality hospital.

Talking to reporters, the actor said he had the freedom to air his views. Rajasekhar is likely to file a police complaint over the attack.

While actress Jeevitha and Raja Sekhar are in TV9 studio, Chiranjeevi and Allu Aravind have gone to Raja Sekhar’s house to console their children. Knowing that, Jeevitha decided to conclude the TV9 interview with reporter Badri and rush to her house.

She conveyed thanks to Chiranjeevi for his immediate reaction by coming to her house and consoling her children for the attack by Mega-fans.

Chiranjeevi didn’t respond anything to media but only said that he would talk only after meeting Rajasekhar and Jeevitha.

After a much changing of dates, at last the film titled Krishnarjuna is going to be released on February 1st. first the date of release was said to be 15th January and then later changed to 30th January. But now it is confirmed by Mohan Babu that this film will be released with 275 prints worldwide on the said date.

Manchu Vishnuvardhan Babu is going to be the hero and Yuvasamrat Nagarjuna will be seen in an interesting role in this film. It is confirmed that the subject of the film will be a socio-fantasy filled subject as this film is going to be filled with Magic and a super hero. 30 % of the film is said to be shot on a green mat, enabling some special effects to be tailored into the sequence.
Krishanrjuna is said to be a film which was materialized long before the release of Vishnu’s Dhee film, but finally this film has got a chance to be canned now.

Chandramukhi fame P. Vasu is the director of this film, who is well known to show how to act, to his hero’s and heroines and is said to be a hard director in terms of gaining the kind of acting which he needs from the artists.

Mamata Mohan Das will be the heroine in this film and is said to have enjoyed the total shoot of the entire film with her co-artists and the crew members. it is also reported that  the entire crew had bonded emotionally with one another and the last day of the shoot  was little bit filled with emotional farewell for parting their ways .

Mohan babu when approached, for some details about the film hinted that this film will be a total entertainer and will be liked by all ages. He said that Nagarjuna will be acting as Krishna and Vishnu will be donning the role of Arjuna, which are the character names in the film.

Moahna babu also exposed some details about the budget of the film and said that this film was shot in 101 days and has reached the border of almost 19 crores. When asked about Vishnu’s remuneration, he sarcastically said that the rate of Vishnu Babu has gone up, after the success of Dhee and will be paid accordingly, but also said that his wife looks after his elder’s son’s expenses and any way the remuneration will at last reach the hands of her.
Let’s hope that this film will achieve the expected success and will be a success feather in Vishnuvardhan’s career cap.
